How we help

Custom software & automation

Your business has outgrown
the workarounds.

We build custom applications and integrations around how your team works. From a better payment workflow to a complete operations platform, make the next step fit your business.

The work, connected

  1. 01

    Win the work

    CRM · Quotes · Proposals

  2. 02

    Deliver the work

    Scheduling · Materials · Handoffs

  3. 03

    Connect the numbers

    Payments · QuickBooks · Reporting

A system your team can follow, with fewer things that only you know how to do.

Build what makes a difference

One useful improvement.
Or a whole new way of working.

01

Improve one process.

Start with a specific point of friction and make it work better for the people using it.

  • Invoicing and payment workflows
  • Proposal documents and quoting
  • Sales commissions and reporting
02

Connect your tools.

Keep what works. Build the connections that stop your team from moving the same information around by hand.

  • QuickBooks integrations
  • CRM and operational handoffs
  • Customer and team portals
03

Build your platform.

When your process needs more than another workaround, build a connected system around the business.

  • Custom quoting and job scheduling
  • Materials and ordering workflows
  • Roles, approvals, and team handoffs

QuickBooks integrations & payments

Still paying 1% or more to collect a bank payment?

Larger invoices shouldn’t automatically mean larger processing fees. We can build a payment workflow around lower-cost ACH, your proposals and invoices, and your QuickBooks records.

We already use a working payment application at Fire & Forge. We can adapt that foundation and integrate it with your existing platform, proposals, invoicing, and QuickBooks workflow.

Let’s look at your payment workflow

A $3 million annual ACH example

$28,500

saved per year in base processing fees

Before other fees and build/support costs.

At an uncapped 1%
$30,000annual processing cost
At Stripe’s $5 ACH cap
$1,500annual processing cost

Same payments. Different fees. This example uses 300 successful ACH payments of $10,000 each per year. Your savings depend on payment size, volume, and current rates.

Rates and assumptions

Compares QuickBooks’ listed 1% ACH rate with Stripe’s standard US ACH rate of 0.8%, capped at $5 per successful payment. Legacy caps and negotiated plans can differ. All $3 million is collected by ACH; this is not a credit-card comparison. Verification, failures, disputes, optional services, and our build/support costs are excluded. Rates checked September 8, 2026.

Proposal to payment

Bring proposals, approvals, invoices, and payment options into a process your team can follow.

Connected to QuickBooks

Connect invoice and payment information to your books, with the right checks for matching and reconciliation.

Clear payment choices

Offer ACH and eligible credit-card fee pass-through where permitted, with clear customer disclosures. We scope the available options with your payment provider.

In use · Sales commission reporting

The spreadsheet work that used to take a week.

Sales territories rarely fit a simple formula. We built a reporting system that handles geography, factory coverage, and commission exceptions together.

~40 hours

of manual work each month before the system

Now: drop off the reports and receive the finished output. We run the processing as an ongoing service.

Approximate prior workload for this client. Results depend on the reporting process and data.

  1. Drop in the factory reports

The client adds sales reports to a shared folder. We process the files and return the finished reporting.

  2. Match sales to territories

ZIP codes map sales to counties and regions, then to the people responsible for those territories.

  3. Apply the actual commission rules

Factory coverage, salesperson assignments, and house-account exceptions determine who earns each commission. Unassigned factory sales stay with the company.

  4. See the sales picture

Finished reports show commissions and sales by customer and factory, making it easier to see who is buying and where the business is coming from.

AI with a job to do

Make a good process
easier to hand off.

Think of a quote that no longer starts with a blank page. A team member supplies the job details; AI helps assemble the draft; your pricing rules and review process keep the work grounded.

Example workflow

  1. 01Capture the job details
  2. 02Prepare a draft using your pricing rules
  3. 03Review the scope and approve the quote
  4. 04Carry the approved information into the job

We design the inputs and review steps with you. The final workflow depends on your process and the systems involved.

From problem to working system

Build it with the people who will use it.

See the work taking shape
  1. 01

    Understand the work

Walk through the real process, the workarounds, and the tools you already have.

  2. 02

Agree on the useful first version

Define scope, dependencies, price, and what success looks like before the build.

  3. 03

    Build, use, and refine

Review working software together and test the actual tasks your team needs to complete.

  4. 04

    Launch with a clear handoff

Agree on training, documentation, ownership, maintenance, and support.

The system is part of the business. We also help with the books and financial decisions behind it, so improvements stay connected to the bigger picture.
